Instead of interviewing somebody this week and learning something new, I thought I would share a video I found that is precisely the message I am trying to spread to people. We need to stop ignoring each other and open up. Below is the video, enjoy and think about who you can stop and talk to on the streets, who you might normally ignore. You might learn something about each other and the world. Enjoy :)

Kind of like "pay it forward", but......
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a really terrible day(time, month,) I was having in Charleston. I was losing my job, no money, couldn't afford rent, was worried sick, terrified, I had noone near me that I could call home, in a state of complete misery and hopelessness when I walked onto one of the main roads, and there were people giving free hugs on every corner. At first when I saw the signs I tried to walk to the other side, but was blindsided by one of them. The girl smiled at me and just hugged me, and I think I burst into tears immediately. Of course, I was too proud to admit I was crying, (thank God for sunglasses, and big black ones at that,) but I just hugged her tightly, and when the light turned green kept on my path. Once you realize there are good people, once you feel their warmth, and hope.. you feel a sense of home, and warmth. Thanks for this. I'm glad I saw this today.
